I have a question:
Do most drops just happen randomly or is there certain areas where you are more likely to get a particular drop?
I know the Victos Axe is in the Underworld and the Icy Dragon Sword is in the Ice Cave off Mineral Springs, but what about good, gold rare items? (ie Rare Swords and Axes?)
Is there a listing or link on items and drop places/rates anywhere?

Victos and the other newish greens drop in the Tomb of Primevil Kings.. not the UW. From the maguuma onwards you can get max dmg items dropped and they are the only ones with any value. Gold items can drop anywhere in the post searing world.
Certain skins will drop in certain places in the game (eg Chaos Axes in the FoW).
